When it comes to makeup looks I am often inspired by colour, it could be a certain shade of lipstick, a velvety eyeshadow or an item of clothing and once it has caught my attention I then start thinking what other elements would work with it. This happened when I laid my eyes on this No 7 shadow from Boots, I don’t often wear greys but thought I would give it a go. I used two earthy browns, a silvery taupe & one grey shadow all from No7 (this is not sponsored I just happen to like their eyeshadows). Shown below are the steps I used to create the look.
Firstly I patted the silvery taupe shadow all over the lid, I then applied the lighter brown shade Truffle above the crease and blended well, next I went in with Matte Mocha on the outer edges and used a fluffy brush to blend and create a more rounded shape around the eye. I then lined along the lash line with a black kohl pencil and smudged it out with a pointed brush. After curling and applying mascara to my lashes I then applied 5 individual lashes from the middle of the lash line to the outer corners to give a feathery soft look. I then used the remaining product on my pointed brush to lightly define the lower outer edges of my lash line, finally I placed a little more of the Silvery taupe in the inner corners of my eyes.
To complete the look I filled in my lips with a soft pink lipstick from Kiko
